summer poems

transit

smells like sausage on the train
it's hot.

it doesn't matter.

season

drunk kids play loud music
winter windows shut in.
summer dresses

everyone's back on the street.

decision

Maybe it's time I decide to be a good woman
I've had a hard time being a good girl.

home

time travel forward
Texas
California
Michigan
New York

Sorry Indiana, Ohio.
you didn't make the list.

friend

people that always have your back
no matter how irrational
how late
how far
how inappropriate
that's love.

want

Possession is a crime.

fishing for something to sink my teeth in
not sure if it's to eat or keep or love.

tenderness
no matter what
special place in the heart.
